Join in the friendly competition at Warwick library
The chance to play chess, draughts, Scrabble, Cluedo and Monopoly can be made available at any time says librarian Bev Cox.
But thanks to a couple of volunteers, she has now set up a fortnightly club for like-minded people who are due to meet today (Fri) and on other set dates, to play between 10am and noon.

Hide AdBev said: “We’ve been surprised how popular the new club has been with people of all ages turning up to have a go.”
Volunteer Jean Casey, who is retired, has been pleased to help set up the games and get people into groups which she has seen is a very good way of making new friends.
All the sessions are free and after today’s club meeting the next are on May 23, then June 6 and 20 and July 4 and 18.
But those wanting to get into practice ahead of those sessions can simply drop in.
