Man hospitalised after '˜nasty' Rugby attack
Police were called to the convenience store on the junction of Boughton Road after reports that a man in his 20s had been robbed and attacked.
The victim, who was left with “life-changing injuries” is now being treated in hospital for swelling to his brain.

Hide AdIt is believed that two men where involved, and that the offenders, or offender, left the scene in a black vehicle, thought to be a Volkswagen Golf.
The victim was immediately taken to University Hospital Coventry for treatment where he remains in a serious condition.
The attack took place sometime between 11.20pm and 11.50pm on March 30, and anyone who saw anything which might help is urged to come forward.
Detective Inspector Jon Belcher from Rugby CID said “This appears to be a particularly nasty incident where the victim has sustained potentially life-changing injuries.

Hide Ad“Due to his condition, the victim is currently unable to tell us what has happened to him.
“At this stage we are working to establish the full circumstances and I ask anyone who can provide any information to help us to please come forward.”

A 28-year-old man from Rugby has been arrested on suspicion on robbery, and released on police bail until mid April.
