Doyle plans to recharge his batteries after 500 milestone
Doyle took on a multi-strength endurance challenge which kicked off with a ten mile cross-country speed march while carrying a 60lb backpack. He then completed 20 30m shuttle sprints with the 60lb backpack before switching to a 40lb pack and racking up 155 step-ups on a 15-inch bench.
All three feats were completed in 2hr 51min.
Members of the Parachute Regiment were present at the finish line to greet the 54-year-old, who is now anticipating a well-earned break from physical challenges.
“I intend to rest my injuries and recharge my batteries,” said Doyle, whose yearly total of 139 strength/fitness/endurance challenges surpassed Steve Buttler’s previous mark by 28.
