Jack and the Beanstalk opens tomorrow (Saturday) and runs until Saturday January 2.

This year’s show is promising to be bigger than ever before with an impressive set and costumes, song and dance routines and special effects aplenty – including one of the biggest giants in pantoland.

The show stars many familiar faces including JP McCue, who will be spending his fourth consecutive year at the Spa Centre, this time as Dame Trot, alongside Sean Dodds, Mike Royce and Hannah Farquharson who are all familiar faces to Spa Centre panto fans.

They are being joined by Felicity Skiera as Jack, local actress Kate Eaves as Princess Tamara and Matt Lee Steer as the King of Merrydale.

JP said: “I am delighted to have been asked to put on a frock again for the Spa Centre.

“I absolutely love appearing in panto in Leamington and it feels like my second home now. I am going to have to work hard not to be upstaged by the giant this year though as I have heard he is fab!”

Steve Boden, managing director of Imagine Theatre, the consultant to Warwick District Council on the show, said: “Rehearsals are not when the work starts on the show, but when it all comes together.

“We start work on each of our pantomimes early on in the year, casting, deciding on the set and costumes, creating the music and so on, and it is when we go in to rehearsal that all the different strands are pulled together.”

Tickets start at £12.50. For more information or to book tickets, visit www.royalspacentreandtownhall.co.uk or call 334418.
