Animation comes alive in Warwick

A week-long creative animation and museum project for young people will take place this summer.

Animator Chris Bradley and Warwickshire Heritage and Culture team are offering a course for 11-18 years olds to learn some film and animation skills.

Using the Sheldon Tapestry, one of Warwickshire Museum’s artefacts as inspiration youngsters will create a stop motion film which will then permanently feature at Market Hall Museum in Warwick.

Jane Commane, learning and community engagement officer, said: “This course will give young people a chance to find out what goes on behind the scenes at a museum and will also build confidence and creative skills as well as give plenty of valuable arts and heritage experience for personal statements and CVs.”

The five-day project runs from Monday August 13 to Friday August 17 from 9.30am to 4pm and is £72.00 for the week.

Spaces are limited and booking is essential.
