Atmospheric views at Warwick gallery

A WARWICK artist is inviting people to take a mystical journey into another world by viewing her atmospheric landscape oil paintings.

Toni Storey, resident artist at the Mitchell Gallery in Church Street, is taking part in Warwickshire Open Studios by exhibiting her latest works and painting new ones at the gallery.

Visitors can talk to her about how she creates her work today (Saturday) and tomorrow.

The gallery is also currently displaying two new pieces by sculptor Vivien Whitaker.

Meanwhile, Mike Yorke, who first exhibited his now well-known Empty Chairs installation at the Mitchell Gallery, is currently showcasing it again at Warwick Castle until the end of July. The series of miniature chairs is used to represent the number of British Armed Forces personnel who have died as a result of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
