Co-judging on the night was eufest director Dermot O’Flynn, who said: “We were really blown away by the performers. It just goes to show how many talented unsigned bands there are waiting to be discovered.

“All the finalists were absolutely fantastic and the decision was an extremely tough one. But Roger the Mascot were worthy winners and I’m really looking forward to seeing them onstage at INmusic.”

With influences including Nirvana, The Doors, The Stranglers, The Who, Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Cash, Roger the Mascot - made up of Daniel Vardy, Matt King, Jamie Pickering and Laura Hudson - have recently released Wired to the System, their ten-track debut album.

All About The Music was aimed at supporting upcoming bands and artists who may not otherwise be given the chance to play for such a large festival audience.

The team at eufest have already begun preparations for next year’s event.
