For the fifth year running, the Warwickshire County Choristers will perform songs about mothers in their Singing For Mum concert at St Mark’s church in Rugby Road on Saturday (March 22) at 7.15pm. For the first time, half the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Myton Hospices.

Choir founder Garry Jones, who set up the all-male choristers - itself a charity - in 2008, said: “To be able to support a charity as worthwhile as Myton is an exciting milestone for such a young choir.

“I hope the choristers will be able to make a regular significant contribution to the Myton Hospices with the same event in following years.”

Nigel Adams from Myton’s community fundraising team said: “We are thrilled to have the support of choristers and are very much looking forward to their concert. We hope lots of people will buy tickets and come along and show their support for the choir and their local hospice.”

Tickets cost £7 (£4 concessions). They are available at Presto Classical in Park Street, Leamington, or through Oxboffice: call 740181 or visit www.oxboffice.com
