Just days after 29-year-old Junior Jessman, who works at Freestyle Games in Leamington, released his new Breaking Bad-themed video online, it had already gained 50,000 hits on the video-sharing website vimeo.com and a further 30,000 on YouTube.

And then Junior’s animation was singled out in a news report on USA Today, which praised his creative efforts in bringing the popular television drama Breaking Bad “back to life” by combining it with his favourite video game, Street Fighter.

Junior said: “I have been a fan of Street Fighter since I was young, playing on the Super Nintendo, and Breaking Bad was - and still is - my favourite TV show.

“It really captured my attention and imagination. Jesse Pinkman was funny and watching Walt develop from a nervous and confident school teacher into an overzealous and megalomaniacal kingpin was very entertaining.

“I thought these characters could easily fit into a fighting game and that game would be Street Fighter because I still play it to this day.”

Junior is planning to create a sequel, which he will upload to his vimeo page at vimeo.com/user3455399
