The Leamington-based Heartbreak Productions has teamed up with Hidden Gem’s Films to open the Glittering Stars Film Club, which will begin sessions at North Hall in Spencer Yard in January.

Students will be given the opportunity to learn all aspects of filmmaking, from the theory and history to the practical elements of making short films and animations - which will be shown in a special end-of-term screening.

Gemma Callaghan from Hidden Gem’s Films said: “We have created a unique film club that will provide each student with the tools needed to realise their dreams of film production - writing a screenplay or editing. It’s a great chance to be involved in something really special.

“It’s a fun and accessible club that aims to engage and enrich students with the knowledge and confidence to explore creative learning in an exciting environment.”

One-and-a-half-hour classes for five to ten-year-olds will take place on Tuesdays at 3.45pm from January 7 and classes for 11 to 16-year-olds will take place on Wednesdays at 3.45pm from January 8. The term runs for six weeks until half term and each session costs £5.
