Choir with professionalism and enthusiasm heads to Warwick Arts Centre

HUNDREDS of choristers will give a spectacular concert featuring hits from musicals and popular songs at Warwick Arts Centre this month.

The Midland Voice Choir’s Musical Extravaganza will include songs from classic musicals such as My Fair Lady and Cabaret, popular songs including Moon River and Bali Hi and classic hits from Elton John and the Beach Boys.

The choir are a group of 230 men and women from all walks of life, who love to sing. They were formed in 2009 under the leadership of Barry Todd, a musical director with a lifetime’s experience of playing and conducting.

He is a musical director for Dave Willetts a critically acclaimed actor, singer and star of many West End Musicals, including Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables.

Dave, who sang with the choir last year, said: “Their enthusiasm and professionalism never fails to amaze me, and they produce a sound that any professional choir in the country would be proud of.”

The concert takes place at the Butterworth Hall on Saturday May 26 from 7.30pm. Tickets available from the box office on 024 7652 4524.
