The storyline follows a recent widower Guy Jones (Kevin Wing) who is transferred to a sleepy small town, where he decides to audition for an amateur production of The Beggar’s Opera. The director, Dafydd Ap Llewellyn (James King), is such a tyrant that most of the actors quit, bringing Guy’s role to more prominence. His local fame facilitates his seduction of numerous townswomen, including Fay (Cara Gould) and Llewellyn’s wife, Hannah (Sue Davison).

It runs from October 26 to November 6. Visit www.priorytheatre.co.uk to book.
