Discover the magic behind the scenes at Leamington’s Loft

The building, in Victoria Colonnade, will be opened up, and members of the Loft Theatre Company will take people on guided tours, and run lighting, sound and stagecraft workshops. This will be against a backdrop of costume and props displays, and guests will also have the opportunity to see rehearsals of the company’s forthcoming production of Peter Shaffer’s Equus.

Elsewhere, Brenda Leedham, who is known for her work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, will be delivering an entertaining and, at times, gory, demonstration on wigs and make-up, and RSC text and voice director Cicely Berry will run question-and-answer sessions.

Anyone interested in joining the company will find plenty of members to chat to during the open day, which takes place on Saturday, October 1, from 10am to 4pm. Coffee will be available from 10am and the bar will from noon. For further details, go online.
