Entertainment a plenty at Coventry theatre

A LIGHT-hearted farce will bring some winter cheer to audiences at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry next month as the venue opens its 2013 spring programme.

Marriage, directed by the Belgrade’s artistic director Hamish Glen, follows the story of Russian civil servant Ivan, who is helped by his friend to wipe out the competition eyeing up his chosen bride-to-be.

Showing at the theatre’s B2 stage from February 2 to 23, Marriage will be followed by a new adaptation of Chekhov’s play Sons without Fathers - a tale of sex, vodka and shattered dreams - also at the B2 stage from April 13 to May 4.
