Farwell for much-loved Bernard

REHEARSALS are almost underway for the Spa Opera Committee’s Christmas Carol Concert as the singers prepare to wave a fond farewell to a much-loved member of their group.

But after 20 years with the committee, Bernard is retiring from pulling together the programme of readings and poems which always accompanies the Spa singing at the concert.

Described as doing a “lovely job”, he will be sorely missed by members of the concert committee.

Anyone interested in helping carry on the job for this year can get involved and help make it another special performance.

The annual concert will be held on Friday December 14 at Holy Trinity Church, Leamington Spa, and rehearsals will begin on Thursday November 6 at St Marks Church Hall.

All are welcome to attend and get involved, or to attend the Sound of Music performances this month.
