Fawlty Towers returns to Kenilworth for more slapstick stage humour
After winning a National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) award for its 2009 production of the television farce, the Barrow Road-based amateur dramatics group are bringing audiences three more episodes - Basil the Rat, A Touch of Class and The Hotel Inspectors - from tonight (Monday) to Saturday April 20.
Director Wendy Anderson has brought together many of the original team - including set-designer Tim Eden, whose loving re-creation of the interior of the Torquay hotel makes a return.

Artistic director Christine Carpenter says she is looking forward to presenting the play to audiences. She said: “As well line-learning, Manuel-slapping and practicing dramatic hyperbole, Bill Davis has spent every waking hour since the end of February preparing for the role - by growing a moustache - much to my family’s disgust.”
Performances start at 7.30pm each evening. For tickets, which cost between £7 and £8.50, call 856548.
