One technican thinks it is a WWI film called Benediction. Or could they be here to film a TV adaptation of JK Rowling's latest book?

There is a poster on the Jephson Gardens’ gate near the Royal Pump Rooms saying that it is closed from 5pm tomorrow due to filming.

Any guesses?

It could well be a WWI film called 'Benediction'.

One resident who wants to remain anoymous said: "I asked a technician what they were setting up to film. He said Benedictions, but knew no more.

I've since Googled and found a Terence Davies film called Benediction starring Peter Caoaldi restarting filming after being cancelled in March (Covid) in the Midlands.

"No specific mention of Leamington but it's about a WWI soldier and poet Siegfried Sassoon. And there was a very old looking vintage motorcar on a trailer in Euston Place this morning.

"Interesting to know if it is this film being shot in our town."

Others believe that they will be filming for the TV series of JK Rowling's latest book, Troubled Blood, under her pseudonym Robert Galbraith.

Leamington featured heavily in the book and as the last few books have all been televised, many predicted that camera crews would soon be in Leamington.
