Follow Christ’s journey through song with Leamington singing group
Leamington singing group Divertimento are inviting audiences to join them on a journey following Christ from Lent to Easter at two concerts.
The 20-strong group - celebrating their 30th anniversary this year - will, through song, depict Christ’s dramatic entry into Jerusalem, the overturning of the moneylender’s tables, the crucifixion and the resurrection.
The first concert is at St Peter’s church in Kineton on Thursday (April 3) at 8pm, with proceeds going to the church’s restoration fund; while the second is at Dale Street Methodist Church in Leamington on April 10 at 7.30pm. Tickets for both cost £7.50, available from www.divertimento.org.uk
Divertimento’s chairman Andrew Mock said: “The music will be very varied with settings from many different periods.”
