Journey under the sea with Playbox’s Little Mermaid

With lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, music by Alan Menken and book by Doug Wright, the show is based on the Hans Christian Anderson story and the Disney film.

Journey “Under The Sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr, adapted from Disney’s 2008 Broadway production. In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home – and her fins – behind and live in the world above.

But first she’ll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl with the enchanting voice he’s been seeking.

The production features the hit songs Part of Your World, She’s In Love and the Oscar winning Under the Sea.

Playbox Theatre’s production features a cast of 38, led by Freya Liddle as Ariel with Cameron Walker as Prince Eric, Charlie Davis as King Triton, Martha Markham as Ursula and Thomas Codd as Sebastian.

Directed by Juliet Vankay the production will premiere at 7pm on Wednesday, September 9, with performances at 7pm on Thursday and Friday and 3pm on Saturday and Sunday.
