Kenilworth gallery on the BRINK of destruction
TEMPORANEA Contemporary Art Gallery, at 129-131 Warwick Road, is holding a ‘save the gallery’ event tomorrow (Saturday) at 6pm to Saturday June 23 at 9pm.
The ASHES2DUST event will comprise of a collection of street art, murals, installations and sculpture, paintings and photography on the theme of creation and destruction, as the owners, Warwickshire County Council have plans to demolish the building and clear the site.
BRINK curator Tim Robottom said: “BRINK want to turn the existing building into a creative hub, consisting of a large gallery, artist studios and workshop areas, and even an art school, which would provide a host of innovative activities for people from all walks of life, as well as increasing tourism and boosting the towns economy.”
