Leamington music promoter shines light on rising young star

Reece Nagra, a former Myton School pupil, wrote and produced Shine the Light, which is performed by ten-year-old Tyriek Clement and features female rapper Shawty.

Reece, who has a portfolio of more than 500 events he has promoted and has worked with mainstream artists including Lemar, Jodi Marsh, Jason Donovan and Tim Westwood, discovered young actor Tyriek when he was eight years old and was so impressed, he became his manager and signed him to his record label, Babycamp Records.

He said: “I’ve done so much with so many different artists who have become very successful, so I thought what could happen if I work solely with one artist and give him my experience branding and originality? Perhaps something really special.

“Tyriek has amazing vocal capacity and original music. The single gives and shows the public the true beginnings of a professional recording artist.”
