Pantomime brings Eastern tale to Kenilworth

FLYING carpets and other magical moments of mayhem will come to Kenilworth this winter as Aladdin takes to the stage.

The traditional family pantomime by Stephen Boden opens at the Priory Theatre in Rosemary Hill on Friday (December 14) and will run until Sunday December 30.

Aladdin, a poor Chinese boy has dreams of Arabian nights, flying carpets and falling in love with a beautiful princess. Through his adventures, he meets a suspicious and unpleasant Abanaza, a magical Genie and the Spirit of the ring. Then there’s his mum, Widow Twankey, who’s got those mixed up Laundry Blues, his brother, Wishee Washee, who is being particularly daft - and they’re all so very poor. If only Aladdin could make his fortune, all their dreams could come true.
