Radio 2 folk award talent plays live at Warwick Arts Centre

An internationally successful harmonica player is joining with three other musicians to bring a mix of English, Irish and Northumbrian tunes with jazz, bluegrass, rock and funk to Warwick Arts Centre tomorrow (Sunday).

Will Pound, who was nominated as Best Musician at the 2012 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, is performing with Chris Sarjeant, Henry Webster and John Parker in the centre’s studio at 7.45pm.

With a style of his own, Will plays diatonic and chromatic harmonicas and creates sounds not usually heard on the harmonica in styles varying from bluegrass, folk, jazz and Arabic to blues, rock, pop and funk.

He was among the musicians to perform on the Christmas no.1 single for Hillsborough, He Ain’t Heavy, last year.
