Raw and inventive natural art on display in Warwick

A FASCINATION with nature has inspired a member of the Warwickshire Artists to create an inventive and highly textured artform that is now on display at a Warwick cafe.

Paul Bark makes his pieces predominantly from the leaves and bark of trees, but also from other natural material and with the addition of gouache, watercolours and oils.

As well as artwork, he creates mirrors, chairs, hand-crafted greeting cards, diaries, book covers, menus and notebooks.

He said: “In a technological world where copying is part of daily existence, nature fascinates me in that it is unique, raw, endlessly new and inventive.”

See Paul’s solo show at Pastelaria Portuguesa in Coten End, Warwick, until March 13, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturdays 9am to 5pm and Sundays 9am to 3pm.
