Review: Mystery death of young spy

Eight characters played by just four actors and an ingenious sliding set made for a slick production of Ciphers at Warwick Arts Centre last week.

The play about the mysterious death of a young woman spy left the audience guessing all the way through. Was she killed by the terrorist she was tracking, the Russians she was spying on, the jealous wife of her lover or was it just suicide? Who was she anyway?

Grainne Keenan skilfully played the young spy Justine and her angry sister Kerry, who tries to solve the mystery.
