Rising violin star comes to town

THE Warwickshire Symphony Orchestra is welcoming back gifted young violinist Callum Smart for their next concert.

Callum, who delighted audiences when he played the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with the orchestra in October 2009, will play Dvorák’s Violin concerto in A minor.

Smart came to wide public attention when at the age of 13 he won the string section of the 2010 BBC Young Musicians Competition and is now developing a career as a soloist, whilst still studying at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester.
