Seth strums on in to Warwick Arts Centre

Folk-inspired, multi-award winning singer-songwriter Seth Lakeman has announced a 16-date UK tour including a gig at Warwick Arts Centre next month.

Seth re-released his album Tales from the Barrel House in April to meet demand after the original limited edition release sold out before Christmas.

Recorded at Morwellham Quay in Devon, Tales from the Barrel House underlines Seth’s innate knack for writing both foot-stomping, sing-along songs and more tender, thoughtful ballads.

Having come to wider public attention following his Mercury nominated Kitty Jay album in 2005, when Seth brought folk music to a new, younger audience, he has been widely credited with breaking down perceptions and barriers often associated with folk music and its acceptance in the mainstream.

This year Seth has performed at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and with the BBC Concert Orchestra part of the Music Nation weekend.

He will be playing tracks from his previous studio albums plus brand new songs from Tales From The Barrel House at the Arts Centre.

The gig takes place on Thursday October 11.
