Something for all at Leamington art show

BUDDING art collectors will find affordable pieces to help them begin a collection at the Association of Midlands Artists’ second Leamington exhibition of the summer.

The group, which has more than 70 members who mostly live in south Warwickshire, is displaying an eclectic display of paintings, watercolours, ceramics, sculptures and mixed media works in a variety of themes at Bath Place Community Venture in Avenue Road.

Exhibition curator and artist Tammy Woodrow said: “It’s so inspiring to work with such diverse works. There is something for everybody to like.”

The association, which was set up in 1985, welcomes painters, sculptors, printmakers and potters to join their group, which organises annual shows at Trinity church in Leamington and meets ten times a year at the Baptist Church to hear a programme of speakers.

The exhibition at Bath Place is on until Thursday August 25. The centre is open from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.
