Star line-up for Stratford Literary Festival’s autumn programme

Three of the biggest stars of the small screen will be appearing in the Stratford-upon-Avon Literary Festival’s Autumn Plus Programme.

Comedian and talk show host Graham Norton will be in conversation at The Courtyard Theatre talking about his much-anticipated memoir The Life and Loves of a He Devil On Friday (October 24).

Graham has been entertaining audiences for almost 20 years having first made his mark as a stand-up comedy drag act at the Edinburgh Festival.

The host of the massively popular BBC1 chat show The Graham Norton Show, he has won seven BAFTA Awards.

Actress and star of the hit show Miranda, Patricia Hodge has been delighting theatre and TV audiences for many years.

She will be talking about her prolific career with Fiona Lindsay at Startford Artshouse on Thursday.

Over the years Patricia has appeared in Poirot, Waking the Dead, Robin of Sherwood and as Margaret Thatcher forthe BBc in the Falklands Play.

Alison Steadman OBE, a national favourite of TV, stage and screen since she played Beverley In Abigail’s Party in 1977, will be talking about her career at the Arts House on Sunday November 30.

Known for her appearances in The Singing Detective, Shirley Valentine and, most recently, Gavin and Stacey Alison has won Olivier and National Society of Film Critics Awards and received two BAFTA nominations.

Festival programming director Annie Ashworth said: “Graham’s appearance will be the first time he has talked about his new book and he is such a huge star. And to welcome two actresses of such renown is an immense privilege.
