The Overtones to play Warwick Racecourse

WARWICK Racecourse is set to host another music night with the arrival of The Overtones in May.

The platinum selling band will perform at the Racecourse’s Ladies Night on May 12 after the seven evening races.

The boys will be performing some of their hits including Gamling Man, Sh Boom and Say What I Feel from their album Good Ol’ Fashioned Love.

The band said: “After experiencing horse racing for the first time last year at Goodwood, Windsor and Ayr Racecourses, we are really excited to be performing at a racecourse again.”

They burst onto the music scene in 2011 selling over 400,000 copies of their debut album, which reached number four in the UK chart and selling out their first UK tour, The Overtones are looking to build on their success in 2012.

Managing director at Warwick Racecourse Huw Williams said: “Introducing a concert after racing on our Ladies Night will give that extra ‘wow’ factor to what is already an exciting fixture.

“This will be an event not to be missed, so I recommend booking your tickets early, so that you don’t miss out.”

Gates open at 3.50pm with the first race scheduled for 5.50pm. Six races will then be followed by the performance from The Overtones.
