The Searchers are coming to Leamington

A LIVERPOOL band whose career has spanned five decades and is still going strong is performing at the Spa Centre in Leamington next week.

The Searchers, who were founded by John McNally in the late fifties as a skiffle/rock and roll group, will take the stage on Thursday.

With a run of memorable hits including Sweets For My Sweet, When You Walk In The Room, What Have They Done To The Rain and Goodbye My Love, the band have performed for the Queen and before 160,000 at Wembley Stadium as part of Cliff Richard`s 30th anniversary celebration.

Although the members may have changed - not including McNally, who continues to perform - they have in recent years continued to enjoy chart successes and tours.

The concert at the Spa Centre starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £18.50 (web price £17.50). Call 0845 218 3540 or go online.
