Panto Bake-Off: brave men needed on stage at the Belgrade

Courageous men are being sought to help Dame Trott at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry to bake lemon meringue pies in the Prickly Bottom Bake Off this winter.

Sounds a bit mad? Well it is panto season - and the Belgrade always likes to give boyfriends, husbands, dads and brothers who have a good sense of humour the chance to stand in the limelight.

This year’s panto, Jack and the Beanstalk is now on and runs until Sunday January 5. Dame Trott, played by Iain Lauchlan, said: “They have to be a good sport though as it may get messy!”
