Panto magic flies in to Spa Centre

Festive mayhem and comedy madness are all set to burst onto the stage with the return of classic family panto to Leamington’s Spa Centre.

The popular family favourite, Cinderella, will bring panto dames, colour, jokes and songs for the whole family throughout December.

And after making an appearance at Leamington’s light switch-on to warm up the crowd and show off what is to come, the cast is now raring to go to pull in support.

The panto classic will see the usual laughs as Cinderella battles with the Ugly Sisters and tries to find her Prince Charming against all the odds.

With jokes for children and adults from the colourful characters and panto dame, the run is set to create a magical run up to Christmas.

Helen Watson, who plays the Fairy Godmother, said they have had fantastic rehearsals.

They are now eager to get out on the stage and spread some festive magic.

She said: “The Fairy Godmother is the ultimate in fairies. She is the good fairy who looks after Cinderella and I love playing her as she is so warm. She’s like your granny – a young granny of course!”

Katherine Lunney, who is playing Dandini said with the show offering laughs for children, parents and grandparents, she cannot wait to get on stage and have some festive fun.

Sean Dodds, who play Buttons, said he was “thrilled” to be coming to the Spa Centre.

“It is great to be in Leamington this year, as not only is the Spa Centre a fabulous venue, I am not that far from home in Leicester,” he said.
