Two inspired artists bring their work to Leamington

ARTIST Paul Ingvar is currently exhibiting his quirky images at Gallery 150 in Leamington.

Paul also displays his fascinating juxtapositions at the Contemporary Arts Fair which takes place regularly in Regent Court shopping centre next to Leamington town hall.

One particularly popular work, featuring the Pump Room, is currently on display in the front window of the Livery Street Gallery.

Paul said: “The idea is that anyone can ‘personalise’ their home with either pictures of their family or their interests or passions.

“Some people like to have an image created to amuse themselves and visitors - I call this ‘toilet art’.

“Others like to have personalised Christmas cards created while others find these images ideal gifts for friends and family.

“Whatever the purpose the object is to have some amusement.”

Another who displays his work at the fair is freelance artist and illustrator Mark Duffin.

A former graphic design and illustration student who has used his skills in the commercial world, Mark now uses nature as the key theme of the paintings he produces today.

His recent works in collaboration with his partner Gaynor include the use of gold and silver leaf and metallic powders into the mediums, which she finishes off with crystals to add an extra lustre and sparkle to the surface.

The next Contemporary Arts Fair will take place in April.
