The RSC in Stratford is holding a range of activities from October 24 to Saturday October 31. Periodic Tales: The Art of the Elements

Exhibition runs at Compton Verney until December 13. The exhibition is based on the best-selling book, Periodic Tales: The Curious Lives of the Elements by Hugh Aldersey-Williams. Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum, until December 6: A celebration of the tenth anniversary of Leamington Football Club reaching the first round proper of the FA Cup. As well as memorabilia, those who wish to relive the football matches can watch a film documenting the cup run on the TV screen in the museum. Warmington’s picturesque 12th-century church will swing to the sound of jazz from 7.30pm. The Dene River Jazzmen will perform a selection from their circa 400-tune repertoire at St Michael’s Church. Warwick Books in conjunction with Oken Kitchen is challenging local bakers in a bun-baking competition to be judged by the Great British Bake Off’s own Richard Burr. Affable and with his trademark pencil behind his ear, he impressed the judges with his cakes, pies and pastries. Richard will be talking about his new book Bake it Yourself, baking with guests and judging their buns at the event. There are sessions from 2pm to 4pm and 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
