Friday Focus free lunchtime talk, Archie Pitts, Chairman of the Friends of the Pump Room Gardens, will talk about the plans to restore the gardens to their heyday in the early 1900s. Upper Boddington Methodist church near Daventry celebrates its 150th anniversary, flower displays, memorabilia and children’s art work, from 1pm to 5pm. The event will also take place on Sunday April 19 from 1pm to 4pm followed by teas at the village hall until 5.15pm and a celebratory service at the church from 6pm.

Long Itchington Cricket Club, junior registration day, All junior practice is held on Sunday morning under the guidance of qualified coaches with matches played mostly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The club runs sides at under 11, under 13 and 15 age groups. Under 17s are encouraged to play in a senior Wednesday night league.
