Despite this, Adventure Sports continues to attract corporate business to its action-packed outdoor event centre in Warwick.

Steve Richardson, managing director, said: “Clients want value for money without compromising on choice and quality. Even in quieter times we have reinvested in quality equipment which we own ourselves, rather than being reliant on hiring from event suppliers. Having ownership of equipment allows us to be more competitive on price than other venues. We are fortunate to have such a large and versatile site for events, and of course our central location is a great advantage too.”

As many larger companies now adopt a “wellness strategy” for their employees, it seems that spending a few hours in the great outdoors whether for fun, or more serious team-building initiatives, is proving a more rewarding activity than a trip to the gym.

Adventure Sports has also continued to be innovative within the marketplace While they create bespoke events for companies of all sizes, they also recently launched a number of off-the-shelf corporate event packages, such as Speed & Safari: Adrenaline Driving; Tradition & Targets: Country Pursuits and Challenge & Champion: Team-Building. Meeting room facilities are also available in the clubhouse and executive board room, and are free of charge to those companies who book more than one activity at the venue.

“We realise that it can be difficult for companies to take groups of people out of the workplace and that is why our half-day options are really popular. They make it much more feasible for many organisations,” explains Steve, who started the business over 25 years ago.
