The inaugural event is a half-day workshop at Nailcote Hall at Berkswell, near Kenilworth, on Thursday January 16, and will feature author Vanessa Vallely along with networking and lunch.

Catherine Wahlberg, operations and finance member at Alsters Kelley, said: “I firmly believe that women need to be given the confidence to go out into the world and make a difference and that is my main motivation in supporting LadiesFirst.

“Here at Alsters Kelley 75 per cent of my colleagues across the three offices are women – and three of the owners of the business are also women. We do not operate positive discrimination in favour of women. That would be self-defeating and against my principles. However, it’s vital that women are empowered to be confident in what they do. After all we are all individuals and I believe that people’s personalities should be allowed to come out and flourish.”

Julie said: “We are delighted to have secured the sponsorship from Alsters Kelley who share our vision to support women in business. The sponsorship will help us to deliver a series of monthly events for our members attracting a high calibre of speaker.”

Lisa said: “Vanessa has agreed to speak at our launch event. Her business journey is vast and I’m sure she will be an inspiration to all who attend.”
