The national economic picture remains very mixed.

A set of gloomy statistics is often followed by a much more positive outlook and, therefore, is it difficult for economists to judge where we are and, more importantly, what is going to happen in the next 12 months.

It appears that, on the back of several years now of uncertainty and quite a lot of negativity, companies in Warwickshire are taking their destiny in their own hands and rather than concerning themselves with GDP forecasts, are looking at their own business and planning growth.

The Chamber remains at the heart of business across this region and is very much helping our companies to grow – offering everything from networking opportunities to international trade support – and that continues on a daily basis.

We have some fantastic, globally renowned companies in this area which bring employment opportunities to our region and also opportunities for small and medium sized businesses to act as suppliers to those firms.

That is something we must grow and it’s vitally important that we all work as one to promote the region as a great place to do business and, also, a great place to live too.
