Demand rises for Box-it’s mobile shredding service

Leamington- based document management company, Box-it Central, reports that demand for its mobile shredding service is on the increase.

Since launching its mobile service last year, Box-it Central has already collected over 500 tonnes of shredding for businesses in the Midlands.

This comes as more and more organisations realise the benefits of ‘on-site’ secure destruction of their confidential or obsolete paperwork.

Compliant data security is a hot topic and a legal obligation. Organisations face hefty fines if found in breach of the Data Protection Act. When a sensitive document comes to the end of its life cycle, secure destruction is a necessity.

Bulk shredding in-house can be a time-consuming process which many companies find counter-productive for their own staff. That is why many choose to outsource.

Box-it’s mobile shredding vehicles travel to clients’ premises and the destruction takes place on-site.

Clients can oversee the process which gives additional peace of mind that their sensitive physical information is being destroyed in the most secure of environments.

Emlyn Evans, sales manager of Box-it Central, said: “While we operate an exceptionally secure shredding facility at our own site, we understand that some clients want the additional reassurance of ‘witnessing’ their document destruction from the convenience of their own premises. That is why we launched the mobile shredding service. We can also arrange for the secure disposal of any IT hardware such as CDs, PCs, servers and cabling.”
