A garden centre’s community project will help bring peace and tranquility to a Hillmorton nursing home.

Willow Tree Nursing Home will receive support from Dobbies to help transform its indoor and outdoor spaces.

More than 660 groups applied to Dobbies Community Gardens when it opened in March.

Colleagues at the store near Rugby will kick-start the activity, and the team will support the winning group right the way through their project.

In addition to receiving products, tools and plants, there will be volunteer hours allocated to help bring the project to fruition and keep their outdoor space blooming.

The home plans to improve the outdoor areas with colourful plants and outdoor features to brighten the spaces and bring peace and tranquillity to residents.

Nick Anderson, Dobbies’ Operations Director, said: “The Rugby store had the responsibility of picking a community group to back this year, choosing Willow Tree Nursing Home as its winner.

"We’re looking forward to seeing this outdoor green space flourish over the year.”
