Jewellery shop moves to bigger space at Hatton shopping Village

Hand-crafted jewellery shop John Garland-Taylor has celebrated an extended period of success with a move to a bigger premises at Hatton Shopping Village near Warwick.

Having operated from the village for over 30 years, the move to a new shop within the independent retail destination has seen the family-run business double in floor-space, allowing more room to display products and a larger workshop.

Having trained as a smith, John previously worked to restore armour for Warwick Castle and the National Trust, developing his expertise on the hammer over five decades.

Originally setting up the self-named jewellery business back in 1982, he will continue to work alongside son David to create the bespoke, hand-crafted pieces - each displaying the GT armourer’s mark developed to distinguish which pieces of armour had been produced or restored by John.

John said: “I’ve been at Hatton since the shopping village first opened so we wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.”
