Leamington cafe/deli wins prestigious award for ‘best hospitality venue’

Warwick Street Kitchen claimed the top prize in the Best Hospitality Venue category, the shortlist for which was only announced at the end of April. The café and deli only opened at the end of 2013 and after being announced as a finalist in the category it was visited by a mystery diner.

Now in their seventh year, the awards have become a firm fixture in the calendar for the region’s specialist food producers, retailers and hospitality providers, many of whom attended the packed event at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole at the NEC.

Speaking on receipt of the award, Adam and Susie Lawton said: “We only launched Warwick Street Kitchen at the end of last year so to be shortlisted in the Diamond Awards was in itself a fabulous achievement.To have now won is just incredible. This award is particularly important to us as it recognises our commitment to using small and local producers.”
