Masons' donation will help young people's club in Rugby continue vital work in community
A club for young people in Rugby has been given a donation to help continue its vital work in the community.
Warwickshire Masons David Sandall and Gerry Logue presented a cheque for £1,600 to Simon Ward, Mayor of Rugby and President of the Bradby Club.
John Robertson, Club Leader and Rebecca Thomas, Safer Relationships youth worker and organiser of Young Carers were in attendance together with members of the Management Committee.
Worshipful Master, David Sandall from St Philip’s Lodge, who meet in Knowle, explained that the Warwickshire Freemasons like to support local

worthy causes.
They had heard of the work done by the Bradby Club and the Lodge decided to raise money for the club.
Funds were raised at their annual St Georges Day Afternoon Tea.
They were keen to learn about the work carried out by the club at their weekly sessions for Young Carers.
Alison Ross, club trustee, said: “The Bradby Club is thrilled to receive this most generous gift and proposes to use it towards the work done with young carers which includes sporting activities, cookery, discussions and visits during holiday periods to activity centres such as skating, trampolining, canoeing.”
