Success of networking events at the castles

I am new to all of this but Sophie Howe is away at the moment so I am going to try and fill her shoes for the time being.

It’s important to say, from the outset, just how important it is for businesses in the area to get together to support one another and to make sure that the conditions are in place to support growth for companies of all sizes and sectors.

The Chamber of Commerce is a great platform to do that and I am delighted that we are now working very closely with the Chambers of Trade in Leamington, Kenilworth and Warwick – again, for the good of all businesses in the area.

We’ve recently held networking events at the castles in Kenilworth and Warwick, which have been very well attended and have helped introduce businesses to one another who may not have previously met.

It’s a great way of getting to know one another and will, hopefully, lead to more and more companies from across this area doing business together.

The chamber’s recent expo at Stoneleigh Park was another great success and another perfect example of how to bring firms together to find out more about their fellow businesses in the region.

It was the first time ever that the chamber has held two business and trade expos in the same calendar year and the response from companies proved that it was definitely the right thing to do.

There is certainly a feeling among companies right now that they want to get out and win new business and make sure that they have a stronger profile than their competitors. That’s where networking can really play a part.

The chamber’s annual conference today (October 17) is another opportunity for firms to meet in the region and on the back of the political conference season it will a great chance to get a perspective from people in the real world of business.

The chamber’s own quarterly economic survey showed recently that confidence in this area is very high and it will be good to see how that fits into the overall picture regionally, nationally and globally.

Thanks for reading – I hope this was okay for my first attempt.
