Wedding dress and accessory boutique Coco & Kate Atelier, and bespoke stationery and keepsake store Ditty Dotty Designs are the newest units to open at the village.

They are each run by female entrepreneurs who followed their passion rather than their chosen career path.

Coco & Kate Atelier provides the best in wedding dresses, shoes, hairpieces and veils, and will soon be stocking bridesmaid dresses. Sophie Derry, 30, owner and manager of the boutique, qualified as a physiotherapist before setting up shop. She said: “I’ve always dreamed of running my own bridal store, and Hatton Shopping Village is the perfect place.”

Supplying invitations, thank you cards, favours, keepsakes and personalised gifts, Ditty Dotty Designs is run by former medical secretary Jo Walton, who started the business from home almost seven years ago. Jo said: “I started the company as a hobby while working but it quickly became a passion and now I can’t imagine doing anything else.”
