Tyronne wins award for hairstyling
A senior stylist at Geiko, one of Leamington’s leading hair salons, has won a national hair styling competition.
Tyronne Leon-Fernandez, who has been with Geiko since 2010, was presented with the first ever Shu Uemura 2013 Muse Image Award. His achievement is made all the more commendable, given the incredibly high standard of entries from hairdressers across the UK.
Tyronne’s ‘Muse’ experience started when all entrants were invited to submit photos and a mood board to describe the inspiration behind “their muse”. In Tyronne’s case, it had been a trip to the Cheltenham Gold Cup amidst a sea of extravagant fur hats that inspired his creation.
Tyronne won the chance to take part in a creative group photo-shoot with top fashion photographer, Jack Eames and mentoring from renowned hair industry figure, India Miller.
