Jamie Lambert, Rugby Lions Minis & Juniors Chairman, said: “Rugby was one of the last sports allowed to return to its full state following lockdown. Many children left the game to play other sports which were allowed to return sooner.

“It’s also no secret that our club has struggled financially thanks to previous failed takeovers and the sad and untimely passing of our club owner, David Owen, last year, but our dedicated team of volunteers have really brought our section forward again.

“Our aim is to make our hometown sport accessible for all children, regardless of background or their family’s financial situation. I want to get children off their electronic devices and get them back outside, enjoying physical exercise, enhancing their social skills and making new friends again.
