Girl power: Teenage Rugby karting ace steers way to second place in race championships

Rugby karting ace Megan Rowledge has steered her way to second place in a national competition.

The fearless 16 year old is the first female to take a place on the British Indoor Karting Championship podium in her category.

Megan made the cut from 6,000 entries to get behind the wheel at the national finals, held at TeamSport Karting in Warrington on Sunday.

Her dad Adam said: “It’s a massive achievement considering how hard it is to even reach the finals.

"It’s even more significant that she is the first ever female on the BIKC podium, a bit of history written just there.

"We're so proud of her and how hard she's worked to get to this level.”
