I would like to thank both our members and tourists who have given so freely of their money, to obtain this great sum for such very worthwhile cause”.
Bernie Bayliss, the Secretary of Rugby Dementia Support said: “Wow, this is an amazing amount of money. What can I say, but well done to you all for your support to the charity. This will help us to continue our support, especially as we are having an ever-increasing number of new people joining us. Once again, a huge thank you to all your members.”
Having been in existence since 1946, Rugby Police Bowls Clubwas founded by the Superintendent who, at the time was in charge of Rugby Police Station, J. G. Wood. Unfortunately, the club now have no direct links, either with the local police station or Warwickshire Police, although some members are former officers. We therefore rely on members of the public, to enable the side to exist. Anyone who plays bowls, or would like to play mid-week mixed bowls, are more than welcome to contact us.
